Mele Halia Resumes at Waikiki Beach Walk with ‘Uhe’uhene Performing on Sunday, January 15

January 15, 2023 to January 15, 2023
Mele Hali‘a is Waikiki Beach Walk’s special monthly showcase that features the finest in Hawaiian musical entertainment by some of Hawai‘i’s most exceptional, award-winning artists on one special Sunday each month.

The 2023 schedule begins January 15 with the Hawaiian music trio of cousins, Kapua Kalua, Aina Asing and Lina Robins, known as ‘Uhe’uhene.

‘Uhe’uhene means “to make a joyful noise” in Hawaiian, and this talented trio of cousins who come from a long line of musicians certainly do that.  They have been performing for well over ten years, and their music is predominantly Traditional Hawaiian, but listeners will also be treated to some reggae, oldies, and other genres performed in their uniquely fun “‘Uhe’uhene” style.
