A trip to Hawaii is a welcome break any time of the year, but March brings on the start of a charming season characterized by calmer ocean conditions and bright blue skies. Though there may be passing spring showers scattered here and there, there's nothing a light jacket can’t solve and a warm daily temperature in the 80s can’t make up for—especially while other parts of the world are still experiencing some of that residual winter chill.
Foot traffic does tend to pick up towards mid to late March with the arrival of families on holiday and locals making their way back home for a visit during Spring Break. However, the crowds are definitely manageable as long as you book any island tours, ocean activities, or
restaurant reservations in advance.
If you’re staying within Waikiki, be sure to visit Waikiki Beach Walk® and take advantage of new spring releases as well as this month’s shopping promotions.

Crazy Shirts
Originally established in 1964,
Crazy Shirts redefined the modern tee through their distinctive artwork and their commitment to using only the finest quality products. Proudly printed in the United States, each shirt uses environmentally friendly, water-based inks to produce vibrant colors, a softer feel, and artwork that doesn’t fade over time.
Here’s what’s rolling out this season at the Waikiki Beach Walk® store on Lewers Street:
Short-Sleeve Tribal Deco Shark Blueberry Classic Crewneck T-Shirt ($35.00)
The Tribal Deco Shark tee uses the brand’s newest specialty dye made with real blueberries, giving it a rich blue hue that brings the ornate shark design to life.
Short-Sleeve B. Kliban Live Aloha Cat Blueberry Scoop Neck T-Shirt ($35.00)
Also drenched in Crazy Shirts’ blueberry specialty dye, this classic B. Kliban cat tee is all about peace, love, and togetherness. Made with 100% combed, ring-spun cotton and 50+ SPF protection, it’s a T-shirt that’s sure to have you feeling cool and calm year-round.
Short-Sleeve Daily Catch Black and Teal Hawaiian Polo Shirt ($58.00)
In addition to what was provided by the land, Native Hawaiians drew sustenance from the sea. In a nod to the spiritual relationship between fishing and Hawaiian culture, this Polo Shirt takes traditional artwork of sea life and gives it a fitted, sporty shape that works great as casual dress attire as well as on the golf course or tennis court.
Short-Sleeve Surviving The Elements Coconut Classic Crewneck T-Shirt ($35.00)
This crewneck tee pays homage to the long-running TV show, Survivor, and uses coconut as part of its exclusive dyeing process to help you embrace your inner islander. Its design incorporates the Survivor logo surrounded by powerful animals that symbolize strength, cunning, and wisdom.
Long-Sleeve Tribal Wave Sage Green Pima T-Shirt ($49.00)
Stamped with a wave design unlike any other, the luxurious fibers of this aquatic long-sleeve is finished with a special wash for maximum softness and durability.

March Gift Ideas
Hawaiian Quilt Collection
The Postcard Collection is one of the newest lines available in-store only at
Hawaiian Quilt Collection, conveniently located on the 2nd floor of Waikiki Beach Walk®. Michael John Gillan, the brand’s creator, tells us a short story on the inspiration behind The Postcard Collection’s designs:
“These designs are my impressions of where I spent my life. They capture a moment in Hawaiian time. They are the memories of my childhood; an experience with a loved one, like sailing in my Hobie catamaran with clear blue skies on emerald-colored waters to the Moke's (Mokulua Islands).
It’s the sand between my toes, strolling hand in hand with my sweetheart. It’s feeling the magical breeze while gazing upon a moonlit Diamond Head and the shimmering Waikiki waters. It’s waking up to see Chainman’s Hat and the splash of ocean mist or smelling the salt air over the Napali Coast on Kauai. These are a few of my postcards that give a personal touch, feeling, or emotion to our Hawaiian quilted items.”
Making a comeback for spring, the 2020 Lemon Collection blends the sweetness of white chocolate and refreshing twist of lemon into premium shortbread cookies that perfectly capture the warmth of the season in each bite.
Treat yourself to the taste of a sunny day in paradise with these zesty citrus sweets, which will be available at
Honolulu Cookie Company starting March 18, 2020 while supplies last.
- Logo Mini Bag (5 cookies, 5 flavors)
- Lemon Box Small (6 cookies, 2 flavors)
- Lemon Tin (12 cookies, 2 flavors)
