With Oahu’s second Stay-at-Home order in full effect, retailers, restaurants, and other forms of entertainment around the island have shut down in an effort to curb the spread of COVID-19. While lockdown may have us stuck inside for the next couple of weeks, here are some ways to make the time a little more exciting while supporting our Hawaii businesses from a safe distance away.
Takeout and Delivery Options at Waikiki Beach Walk®
Many eateries were required to halt dine-in service, but through takeout, delivery, and curbside pickup, these Waikiki Beach Walk® restaurants are able to continue providing delicious dishes for a night in at home.
Taormina Sicilian Cuisine
Taormina Sicilian Cuisine recently launched a new online ordering system on their website to make the process easier for those looking to satisfy their Italian cuisine craving. Use the code CIAO upon checkout to receive a 15% kamaʻaina discount off of your order. Curbside pickup is available right in front of the restaurant, which is located on Lewers Street, or you can choose delivery for a $10 flat rate fee—a portion of which will go towards the Hawaii Agricultural Foundation.
Taormina is also offering four types of cauliflower thin crust pizza from its sister restaurant, Appetito Craft Pizza & Wine Bar:
- Mascarpone Seafood: A “seafood bruschetta” in pizza form with mascarpone white wine garlic sauce, scallops, shrimps, sun-dried tomatoes, and spinach.
- Boquerones Classic Pie: white anchovy, mozzarella, and basil with tomato sauce.
- Prosciutto and Arugula: cured prosciutto, arugula, parmesan, mozzarella, and tomato sauce.
- Funghi Porcini: Grana Padano cheese, porcini, mixed mushroom (shimeji, shiitake, ali’i), and mozzarella on a porcini cream sauce. Black truffle slices are also available as an add-on.

Beachwalk Café
Sometimes all it takes is a hearty sandwich to hit the spot.
Beachwalk Café is a local Hawaii business that specializes in Vietnamese-style sandwiches either on a French baguette or soft, flaky croissant as well as paninis, soups, and a variety of macarons. The eatery recently revamped their menu (seen below), so now is a great time to try their French-Asian flavors for breakfast, lunch, or dinner.
