Waikiki Beach Walk, the vibrant shopping, dining and entertainment district at Lewers Street and Kalakaua Avenue, has announced that Ben Vegas will headline its popular monthly musical showcase,
Mele Hali‘a on
Sunday, March 13 from 5 to 6 p.m.
A popular recording artist and skilled musician, Ben Vegas is a contemporary Hawaiian music singer, musician, and songwriter. He will perform traditional Hawaiian and island contemporary music. Vegas was a member of the Fabulous Krush show band and has toured with Kealii Reichel and Na Leo Pilimehana.
Mele Hali‘a features the finest in Hawaiian musical entertainment by some of Hawaii’s most exceptional, award-winning artists on one special Sunday each month. All performances are free of charge.
Hawaiian Music and Cultural Programming in 2022
Waikiki Beach Walk will continue to host an amazing array of complimentary music and cultural programming during 2022. (All performances are weather permitting.)
Every Tuesday, it’s “
Kū Ha‘aheo,” with live Hawaiian entertainment from 4:30 to 6 p.m. The weekly series at the Plaza Stage is set for
March 1, 8, 15, 22 and 29.

Ka Lei Hula” (
March 6, 13, 20 and 27) offers complimentary hula practice each Sunday morning at 9 a.m. The classes are free and pre-registration is encouraged:

Royal Room/Hawaiian Music Hall of Fame at Waikiki Beach Walk is the place to go for Hawaiian music history and other cultural programming, with live streams on the
21st of each month as part of the “Make Music Hawaii” series.
The Royal Room hosts free
Feather Flower classes every Wednesday at 11 a.m. and again at 2 p.m. Space is limited, so be sure to reserve your class by calling ahead at (808) 499-7408.
